    Overview

    Baraadsar Lake Trek

The people worship Baraadsar Lake Trek, which is located among high ridges at an elevation of 14435 ft. It is one of the lesser-known virgin treks. This trek is located in the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary National Park in Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi district. The trail through thick woodland, meadows of enchanted beauty, and some steep ridges in Baraadsar is exciting, but the panorama views from the peak cannot be explained in terms.

    Itinerary Details

    Dehradun to Khanyasni camp
You'll pass through Nainbagh, Damta, and Naugaon's small markets. Arrive in Purola at 1:30 p.m. and stop for lunch. Proceed to Sankri via Jarmola after lunch. The back of Kedarkantha can be seen from there. Travel through Jarmola's pine forest on a scenic zigzag path. After arriving in Mori and passing through a checkpoint called Naitwar, you will be able to enjoy tea or snacks at the Khanyasni campsite.
    Day - 1
Khanyasni camp to Sarutal camp Trek
After breakfast, begin your trek to Pujali and Bitri village by following the right bank of the river Rupin (1500 m). At Bitri, which is 2000 metres above sea level, there are several apple orchards and fields. The villagers' cultural beliefs and way of life are visible. Wheat is grown here, as well as red rice. The path now leads you through a thick pine forest, with views of the Himachal Mountains and Changsheel Valley from the top of Bitri village. We'll set up camp a kilometre away in a wide meadow called "Sarutal." After erecting the camps and preparing provisions, it's time to retire for the night.
    Day - 2
Sarutal camp to Badang camp Trek
Breakfast will be served at the camp, after which you will begin your trek to Badang camp. A high ridge separates the Rupin and Supin valleys, providing panoramic views of the ranges. The peaks of Himachal can be seen to the north, with humorous views of Swargarohini, a rare mountain with four peaks. Ascend through thick forest areas as you gain altitude. The Rupin and Supin Rivers can be seen along the meandering route, and you'll come across streams along the way where you can rest. Badang is a broad, green meadow that is ideal for camping. Set up your tents and rest for a night.
    Day - 3
Badang camp to via Vijay Top Dhaldhar camp Trek
After breakfast, begin your trek to Dhaldhar camp via Vijay Top (3700 metres). The climb to the top is steep, but the views of snow-capped mountains and spectacular views of Vishkhopri, Obra valley, and Khimloga Pass are well worth it. Take in the panoramic views before beginning the Dhaldhar camp. The big day has arrived. We're aiming for a distance of 13 kilometres. The highlight is the climb to Vijay Top, which is close to 3700 metres long. Streams, flowers, and meadows are all present in the landscape. The forest is dotted with flowers of every hue imaginable. In the reach, we can see several massive hills. The sun is obscured behind the dense clouds as clouds and mist roll in and out. We arrive at Vijay Top, and the breathtaking view makes it all worthwhile. A total of 3.5 hours have been spent on this project. Dhaldhar is a large meadow and a great camping spot on the Ridge camp site. Set up your tents and rest for a night.
    Day - 4
Dhaldhar camp to Devbasa camp Trek
The morning views from Dhaldhar are breathtaking, as the rising sun reflects orange light on the hills, enhancing their beauty and making them seem as majestic as they have never been before. Early risers do not overlook the sunrise from this vantage point. Then have breakfast in camp and depart for Devbasa, our next campsite, where you can arrive in 2/3 hours. Now, from Dhaldhar camp, walk for 30 minutes along with a mountain range, passing through meadows, and you'll be greeted with spectacular views of Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Nalgan. Continue walking around the ridge; it will take more than four hours, and you will see plenty of Rhododendrons.
    Day - 5
Devbasa camp to Baraadsar lake Trek
Today's trek is the longest on a rugged path, stretching from Devbasa to the Baraadsar meadow; you can choose between two routes. The short one is steep and requires crossing a pass to get to your campsite; the long one requires taking a round of the mountain, and the campsite is 3 hours away from that point. Choose based on your abilities. The trail is very difficult, with cliffs and large boulders, and you can see the path on the other side of the mountain is made up of rocks, indicating that it is a peak climb. The weather is very cold here, so bring plenty of warm clothing.
    Day - 6
Devbasa camp via lower sural to Kasla Trek and back to Sankri
Have breakfast and leave early to begin your trek through Lower Sural, descend until the terrain becomes steep, cross this portion of your trek and continue on to meadows and then into pine forest, where you will trek under the shade of trees. When the forest stops, you will come across Rajma and Wheat fields. You will now be in Rahla village, where you will see people working in fields and herds of sheep grazing. Take a break here for lunch and then go on to Kasla village; the descent is quick and there are several streams to see. The path is steep and takes about an hour to reach Kasla. There is a vehicle that runs from Kasla to Sankri, which is a lovely town known for its mini market and as the starting point for many treks. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a hotel while admiring the beauty of this place.
    Day - 7
    Sankri to Dehradun
Today is your last breakfast with our team on this trek. The certificates will be presented, and after some lovely photographs, Sankri will bid you all farewell.
