    Overview

    Brahmatal Trek

Brahmatal is one of the Himalayas’ most beautiful and challenging winter treks. The frozen lake is absolutely spectacular and a visual delight, providing panoramic views of trees and mountains blanketed in pristine snow. The sights of snow on the mountains are very enticing, and one can’t keep their gaze away from them. Trekking in the Himalayas in January and February is difficult, but Brahmatal provides the ideal opportunity; it is the best time to trek here if you want to escape the crowds.  The trek is complete with breathtaking scenery and sprawling trees, as well as a mesmerising view of the Himalayas, despite the uneven terrain. Brahmatal is also known for its winter walk, which takes you to the land of snow and mountains shrouded with snow. As you continue trekking, you will come across Brahmatal’s frozen lake. Read More

    Itinerary Details

    Kathgodham - Lohajung
Around 7 a.m., you can arrive at the Kathgodham railway station. This is where your Brahmatal trek starts. Kathgodam is a city in Uttarkhand that is located in the Nainital district. By road, Kathgodam is about 300 kilometres from Delhi. Kathgodam is well-served by a number of trains and buses. The station is just 25 kilometres from Nainital and 9 kilometres from Haldwani. Our team will meet you at Kathgodham railway station and take you to Lohajung from there. The trip will take about 7 to 8 hours, and we will pass through beautiful towns such as Kausani and Almora. On the way, we'll stop for an hour at Almora for lunch. Lohajung is the starting point for our breathtaking Brahmatal trek. According to mythology, Lohajung is the location of a battle (jung) between goddess Parvati and a demon named Lohasur. As a result, the name Lohajung roughly translates to "Fight with Lohasur." The road from Kathgodham to Lohajung passes through some breathtaking scenery that will leave you speechless the whole way.
