    Overview

    Brahmatal Trek

Brahmatal is one of the Himalayas’ most beautiful and challenging winter treks. The frozen lake is absolutely spectacular and a visual delight, providing panoramic views of trees and mountains blanketed in pristine snow. The sights of snow on the mountains are very enticing, and one can’t keep their gaze away from them. Trekking in the Himalayas in January and February is difficult, but Brahmatal provides the ideal opportunity; it is the best time to trek here if you want to escape the crowds.  The trek is complete with breathtaking scenery and sprawling trees, as well as a mesmerising view of the Himalayas, despite the uneven terrain. Brahmatal is also known for its winter walk, which takes you to the land of snow and mountains shrouded with snow. As you continue trekking, you will come across Brahmatal’s frozen lake. Read More

    Itinerary Details

    Rishikesh - Lohajung
Your adventure will kick off from Rishikesh, where our transport manager will meet you at ISBT Rishikesh at 6:15 AM. From there, you'll be driven to Lohajung, a charming village nestled in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, approximately 250 kilometers from Rishikesh. The drive to Lohajung, lasting about 10 to 11 hours, will be in a comfortable vehicle provided by Trekup India, such as a Bolero, Tata Sumo, or traveler. Upon arrival, you'll settle into your guesthouse accommodations. As you embark on the drive from Rishikesh, you'll be treated to stunning mountain roads with occasional views of the majestic Garhwal Himalayas on clear days. The journey offers a serene landscape, with the River Ganga flowing alongside you. Along the way, you'll encounter three significant confluences: Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karanprayag. At Devprayag, the Alakananda River merges with the Bhagirathi River, creating striking teal and turquoise colors. You'll also pass through the town of Srinagar before reaching Rudraprayag, where the Mandakini River joins the Alakananda River. Finally, about 33 kilometers beyond Rudraprayag, lies Karanprayag, where the Pindar River meets the Alakananda River.
