    Overview

    Everest Base Camp Trek

Trekking to Everest Base Camp in Nepal follows the iconic footsteps of mountaineers Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa. Today, the Everest Base Camp (EBC) trek is a premier destination for trekking and hiking enthusiasts, attracting thousands of visitors each year. The trail is situated in the Khumbu region, known as the heartland of the Sherpa community. The trek offers an opportunity to experience unique Sherpa villages and culture, explore Buddhist monasteries, and discover diverse wildlife amidst stunning mountain scenery. Trekkers can enjoy breathtaking views of the world’s highest peaks, including Mount Everest (8,848m), Lhotse (8,516m), Makalu (8,463m), Ama Dablam (6,812m), and many other snow-capped mountains. Mount Everest has two base camps: the South Base Camp in Nepal and the North Base Camp in Tibet. For those seeking an adventurous trekking holiday, the preferred route is to the South Base Camp in Nepal. The trek reaches an elevation of 5,364 meters at Everest Base Camp and also offers the opportunity to climb Kala Patthar (5,545 meters), a non-technical peak that provides incredible views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers. Embark on this remarkable journey to witness the beauty of the Himalayas and immerse yourself in the rich Sherpa culture.
